Mercy Wanjiru Muthoni, 30, was accused of beating up Onesmus Michuki, 24, within Muthaiga area
A woman told a city court that she assaulted a man in a club for not satisfying her in bed. Mercy Wanjiru Muthoni, 30, was accused of beating up Onesmus Michuki, 24, within Muthaiga area, leaving him with serious injuries on September 25.
According to the police, Michuki, in the company of a few friends, went to a nearby club to have drinks and watch a football match. It was while at the bar that the angry Wanjiru reportedly arrived.
She is said to have demanded to know why the complainant was busy entertaining other people with drinks and left her outside like a prostitute.
Michuki is said to have attempted to explain himself, but the accused allegedly picked a beer bottle and hit him with it. The bottle landed on his cheek and injured him. The accused, police said, also bit Michuki’s right hand.
Michuki, who claimed he lost Sh6,300 in the fracas, was taken to nearby clinic.
Muthoni, in her defence, said: “He had known me for one week and when we had sex, he did not perform to my expectation hence my fury.”
She was set free on a Sh15,000 cash bail and the matter will be heard on January 27, 2017.
