University student commits suicide and leaves behind this note, see this

There is a letter doing rounds on social media this afternoon saying a student from Moi University just committed suicide over what is said to be tribalism in the country.
According to him, he wanted a University where the decision of the students will not be made by the lecturers but by the students.

Further he said that for tribalism to stop one must pay a price for it. And it is for that reason that he decided to commit suicide. Here is the letter

We lose ourselves when we compromise the very ideals that we fought harder to defend.And we honour those ideals by upholding them not when its easy,but when its tough….I was born not to condone injustices but to condemn injustices.I didn’t vie for chairmanship to seek popularity or wealth or favour or scholarship but I vied with a clear purpose of changing the attitude students have towards UoE,I wanted fellow comrades to be proud of our institution. An attitude that the management itself has engineered in the minds of the students.I hate to see liberal minded young energetic citizens being reduced to primary kids.I wanted a University that would expose the mind of a student and not just confining him or to the Chep environment. I would be a proud chair seeing articles in news papers by UoE students.

I wanted a university where decisions are not made by management on behalf of students.
I hate seeing policies being imposed on students.
I hate seeing students suffer under my leadership.
I hate masters of tribalism. I hate everything intended for the students without the students.
I couldn’t stand the SGC losing meaning under my tenure for I saw it being reduced to nothing….

I have fought against the managements injustices but unfortunately bribe has become the order of the day….Someone tell the Dp Ruto that the son of a peasant farmer has no voice in Kenya.

FOR CHANGE TO OCCUR,THEN A PRICE MUST BE PAID….IT IS FOR THIS REASON THAT I COMMIT SUICIDE,SO THAT YOU REALISE THE FRUITS OF JUSTICE. THROUGH MY DEATH ALL THE STUDENT LEADERS THAT WERE DENIED THEIR RIGHT OF EDUCATION MUST NOW BE ALLOWED TO REALIZE THEIR AMBITIONS AND DREAMS.
THROUGH MY DEATH LET OTUNGA AND HER GROUP KNOW THAT MONEY CAN BUY MEDIA BUT NOT THE TRUTH

To my esteemed Comrades,
Weep not when am no more but instead rejoice for at last you found justice and restored democracy.
Don’t allow tribalism deny you comradeship. For were it not for your divisions I would be in school now.
