France has just earned a somewhat fortunate win against a very resilient Australia team who fought very hard till the 80th minute when Paul Pogba’s flick secured the all desired 3 points for Australia.
Antoine Griezmann had earlier opening scoring from the spot in the 58th minute but it only took 4 minutes for Australia to get back level after also being award their own penalty with their skipper, Mile Jedinak rising up to the occasion to score past Hugo Lloris who chose the wrong side of the post. The win means that France are only 3 points away from securing a place in the quarter finals of this year’s tournament.
