See how Ugandans talk to their husbands, this is respect. Tanzanian women can’t

A photo of a Ugandan woman talking to her husband on phone has emerged sparking mixed reactions. The woman was kneeling talking to her husband on phone. This gesture is widely considered a form of respect, true love and total submission in the land of Museveni.

However, not all Ugandans kneel. Out of the 20 something tribes in the country, it is the Bantu speaking tribes that do this. That is in south, west , south central, and Eastern Uganda. Those who kneel are the Luo tribes in the North, and the karamajong, who are related to Turkanas, separated when the colonials divided them and created a border and many other tribes do not Kneel.

It is interesting to note that in some tribes in Nigeria men Kneel when greeting . This is a culture and Tanzanian women should not get worried about trying to understand or imitate.
