Talented dancer, singer and performer Akothee was among the lucky celebrities who won an award at the African Muzik Magazine Awards( AFRIMMA).
The singer is not only talented but also Kenya’s richest female celebrities who has done many collaborations with big artists among them Diamond (Tanzania) and Mr. Flavor (Nigeria).
Well, one would think that doing a collabo with such artists require few coins. Unfortunately collabos with big artists like Diamond can cost more than 1.5 million Kenyan shillings.
Speaking to a source, Akothee revealed that she charges a whole 1 million Kenyan shilling for a collabo with her. This she said is discussed and organized by her manager and music advisors. “As artistes we don’t have to rush into signing deals with record labels, we can make our own money using social media.”
Akothee added that she does music for money the reason why she takes her music very serious and spends a lot of money on it. ”Don’t settle for less. As for me don’t call if you can’t afford to raise Ksh1 million for a collabo.”
